Final Japan Goals
on December 7th, 2011 at 6:14 pmIt’s nice to accomplish some of those long-time life goals. Let’s see what’s left…
Accomplished:
- Goto Akihabara
- Eat Taiyaki
- Participate in Comiket
- Participate in a Major Melty Tourmament
- Beat people in a Japanese Melty Tournament
- Meet Waka
- Do all-night karaoke
- Meet Melty Blood CEOs
- Pass JP Class Level 2
- Goto Kyoto
- Goto Nagoya
- See the K-ON Movie
- Eat some real ramen
- Goto a culture festival
- Tour a non-touristy temple.
Not yet accomplished:
- Meet Seiyuu
- Pass JP Class Level 3

- Acquire Harem
- Defeat Garu in Mahjong Rematch (This hasn’t happened yet)
- Win a major Melty Blood Tournament
- Goto an anime concert
- Hit up a hotspring or onsen
- Play some real mahjong with money on the line, and do not come in last.

Really liking your goals there. Might be tough to meet a seiyuu, hope there’s an event for you, haha.
Also loving that mahjong on that list. Have you watched Saki or Akagi by any chance? Love those Riichi Mahjong shows.
Yeah I saw both, some interesting mahjong posts are floating all around this blog somewhere. I would make some strategy posts, but I don’t feel qualified. (Especially when one can check out Osamuko’s mahjong blog). I should update the Janryumon post though. Always meaning to get around to that.
However my favorite mahjong anime is Legendary Gambler Tetsuya. If you can find it, it’s worth watching.
I think i met Hanazawa Kana when she came over to Singapore. And Itou Shizuka, And Chiwa Saito.
Already did the anime concert thing. More than once :3c
And heard JAM PROJECT live. Also angela.
Yeah it’s gonna be tough on money strain…
>Go to culture festival
All of my dreams and jelly
Did that one too.
oye oye, don’t get too good at mahjong then you’ll never want to play with us american scrubs.
you should really send me an e-mail sometime, tell me how you’re doing.
Guts man.
Well done- really like some of the goals you’ve chosen. My favorite of course- “Acquire Harem” hahaha.
Good luck with all of them!
Just catching up on your blog now, I tried to make betting on Mahjong one of my goals when I was in Japan but I’m almost certain I would loose I definitely risk too much in that game, don’t go for fast wins generally.
It’s a shame you haven’t got to go to Kyoto yet it is a beautiful place I would highly recommend Sapporo as one your destinations too that was definitely one of my favorite places. Curry Soup is incredibly good.
