I’m wondering if Yui is supposed to be comic relief or conventional logic…

Look at that smile.  Look how happy she is.  Look at that silly hat and bowtie.  Honestly, she’s closer to Mion than Haruhi.

I’ve yet to see this halberd strike anyone.

I wish the comic-relief characters, as amazing as they are, were used for a little bit more than comic relief.  The only character they’ve even remotely used is TK.  I’m convinced at this point not having 24 episodes was a mistake.

When they started out the series it seems like they went out of their way to go into the backstory of the characters.  When did that die exactly?  To say each character is expanded on and we’re ready to enter the finale is quite a stretch.  Maybe I have to read Track Zero or something, this show went from zero to trainwreck in under two episodes.  I don’t mind, I still think it’s entertaining and probably the best show of the season – though it’s totally switched gears from art to entertainment.

It’s called Angel Beats because they just beat up on Angel :(
